Wow! Very unexpected! I'm not a seafood girly... but wow I was very impressed! We came in late however they were very accommodating. Oysters were small and light. We got the fish sampler! Halibut and salmon were phenomenal. The salad was fresh and crispy! The shishito peppers were great! Spicy and flavorful. Edit was our waitress and she was just so sweet and fun! 10/10 experience.

I had an amazing experience at Bar Crudo! The service was top-notch--our waitress was super attentive and made sure everything was perfect. I've been wanting to try an oyster happy hour for a while, and this spot did not disappoint. They offer $2 oysters and a $9 glass of wine, which happened to be a Vinho Verde from Portugal. It was crisp, refreshing, and paired perfectly with the fresh, flavorful oysters. The ambiance was fun and relaxed, and everything we ordered tasted incredibly fresh. Highly recommend this place for a great happy hour or a seafood night out!

What a delight. Fresh and clean ambiance with friendly, informative service. Everything on the menu we had was delicious and fresh tasting. The server was helpful in steering us through what he felt might be helpful and complement what our interests were. Great wines to pair!

The food was amazing! I'm not really a seafood person but I'd come here again for sure. Oysters tasted fresh and everything was just so good. I really enjoyed the tostada and lobster salad as well. Everything is also really well presented which helped. The service and ambiance is great. Downstairs seems to be a bar-style but there's regular seating upstairs. It's a nice restaurant right next to Alamo Square!

Ambiance - Dim lit, good for dates. Cozy. Would definitely recommend a reservation. Crudo - My friends ordered the Crudo Sampler which gives you 4 - 8 pieces of crudo for $40. I ordered the Hokkaido Scallops for $19 (4 pieces). We all agreed the Hokkaido Scallops were the best by far! All the crudo was super fresh and tasty though. Grilled Octopus ($29) - Another banger ‍ Well seasoned fatty octopus over mash potatoes, pomegranate, some veg, and a seared pear. Super yummy and fresh. Overall great place, good food, nice ambiance. The food WILL NOT fill you but your taste buds will be happy ‍

We came for happy hour and had such a great time! Place is small but very busy, even though they were able to have timely and friendly service. We had the $2 oysters, shishito peppers, cod tacos and the red and white wine from the happy hour. All delicious!!! And we tried to lobster salad that had great presentation and overall very tasty!! Big fan and great deal for happy hour.

San Francisco, NoPa. April 2024. This is a long established and reliable place for a late afternoon happy hour of seafood, and wine or beer. Dinner is probably very pleasant here but it's all about the happy hour here for me. They open at 5:00 and for an hour and a half you can get their oyster of the day for $2 each. They specify a half or whole dozen on the menu but I think you can get just a few, or some number in between, too. And, they don't appear to limit how many you can order. If you're in the mood to get crazy with fresh shucked raw oysters on the halfshell, with mignonette + cocktail sauce + lemon, then you'll want to venture out this way. They listed 6 oysters available but the daily happy hour one was Drake's Baja oyster. These were small shells with small to medium oysters, probably a variety of Kumamoto. Hit the oyster w just a couple of drop of lemon to get creaminess and a medium textured bite. Then slurp a bit of the oyster liquor - it is very briny, reflecting a salinty of the ocean in Baja - go easy on the oyster liquor or your palate will get overwhelmed by the salt. There is also a herb and jalapeno marinated chilled mussel, for $2 apiece, that is nice with something sparkling. The HH seafood chowder has a lot of variety and is not too thick. I thought the HH steam manila clams, w white wine, leks, kale, and chorizo were the best item after the oysters - very much like a classic Spanish/Portugese clam and sausage dish. If you're on this stretch of Divisadero, north of the Panhandle and Lower Haight, Bar Crudo is a good place to drop by for happy hour.

All the food was spiced very nicely and was very flavorful! The portions were very small, even for the main dishes, but the seafood was delicious. We had a reservation and got seated immediately when we entered. The food was also brought out pretty fast after we ordered. Overall cute interior with dim lighting and candles at each table.

One of the best happy hour spots in the city!!! The best part is their happy hour also applies on Saturdays, amazing. In love with the freshness of the oysters, also loved the flavors on the baked mussels and manila clams! My personal favorite was the scallop crudo, I'm such a sucker for scallops and light and citrusy sauce that compliments the sweetness of the scallop perfectly. Will definitely be back for that dish specifically. Ambiance is really cozy and dimly lit, great atmosphere for a girls night out or date night! Service can be somewhat slow and felt a bit chaotic, given all the tight spaces there were a few instances where the servers would ask us to watch out even though we didn't have a choice but to be seated at a corner table right near the stairs. Our server also ended up offering bread for the table the charged us for it... so be aware about that too.

For my birthday dinner, I wanted seafood. So, we went to Bar Crudo, with 2 of our friends. FOOD We ordered a dozen oysters as an appetizer. We also had uni toast, cod tacos, Crudo sampler. For salad, we ordered the beet salad. My husband said, "it's the best beet salad in the City." For my main course, I ordered grilled octopus. I truly enjoyed it. I could've ordered seconds. SERVICE Our server gave an excellent service. He gave us complimentary champagne for my birthday. He was attentive and also left us alone to enjoy our time. AMBIENCE Not a "first date night" type of place. We would come back again. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're craving seafood.
